This is the 35'th update on my fly longevity experiments.
In view of the good longevity results obtained with Knudsen
Elderberry Nectar back in Runs #31 & #32, I tried elderberry tea
this run. However this Nectar consists of a mixture of apple,
elderberry, boysenberry, plum and grape juices. The present
results show that elderberry juice is unlikely to be the active
ingrediant in this Nectar.
No positive hits this time. Spearmint looks like it was mildly toxic.
Cocoa was teamed with 300 mg chitosan to bind the remaining
cocoa lipids. In other experiments fat sources have been found to
reduce fly longevity. From the present results It looks like chitosan
was mostly successful in preventing fat absorption.

In Freezer Run #7, only mild and possibly spurious protection
against freezing damage can be seen by coconut juice or green tea.
In the next freezer run I'll try testing a large dose of green tea
extract to see if this is beneficial.
