I have no idea what he meant either, but maybe I should apologise to the
list for losing my cool and SHOUTING IN CAPS.
However, I only did so after several people, John Marlow especially, had
refused to pay any attention to civil requests to follow list protocol made
by (as I recall) Harvey, me, John Clark and Amara. Here's a quick analogy:
If someone keeps barging into a conversation with his ghetto blaster
blaring, despite repeated requests to turn it down, I think it's forgivable
if one of the people at the table raises his voice in response.
Fortunately there are other ways on e-lists to minimise the damage done by
rude intruders.
