I do not trust the latest report as I do not trust this UN panel. It
has overplayed global warming before quite drastically for political
reasons. I especially do not trust its summaries as this is where the
most mischief occurs. AFAIK, the science cannot in any way support a
solid prediction of temperature increase over the entire century at this
time. There is too much that is speculative and not tested out. The
report talks of the cumulative effect of various agents when those
supposed effects for those supposed agents are still in dispute. So
committing policy decisions on the basis of this report and especially
ones of tremendous economic consequence would be highly irrational.
