How do you know what the decendents of the builders of Nan Madol did?
And science wasn't "discovered" by the decendents of the builders of
Stonehenge.

I'm more inclined to think it's the old marketing maxim: "Location,
location, location". Pohnpei is smack in the middle of nowhere, but
Stonehenge is very accessible to millions of people.
