Are you joking? This is the exact reason I became a vegetarian in 1986.
All the studies at that time showed about an 8 year gain for vegetarian and
a 12 year gain for vegan lifespans. I haven't seen any studies recently,
but I assume this is still true do to the fact that veggie get more fiber,
less cholesterol, etc.
