Ross: nothing you have written contradicts what I have written: they are
part and counterpart. We appear to be in reasonably violent agreement.
The frog of the body politic is hanging out in the jacuzzi, and hasn't
broken a sweat yet (frogs don't sweat :) ). We still have a bit of a
ways to fall before things get Chechnya-bad. As Claire Wolfe said,
