That syndrome is not necessarily a bad thing. Not if mixed with a lot
of common sense, the right amount and kind of humor, the kind of
humility that grows from rigorous self-honesty and openness, a simple
willingness to do whatever one can however large or small and so on. In
any case it is better than being afraid to do what one can or believes
should be done because one is too afraid of what other people might
think.
