Yes, string communication owes its success to the cosmic string theory. By using
this trick, some exceptionally clever cosmologists have evolved M-Theory. I know
because Michio Kaku said so on the Art Bell radio show. (He was using the
twisted-pair variation of the cosmic string technique to jack into the show.)
This technique has a long and venerable history reaching back to The Little
Rascals and reruns of Merrie Melodies.
