As an exercised reader, I tend to think the species will modify and /or evolve
its immune system in such a way as to cause it to become less toxic to its own
welfare (and that of symbiotic ecologies). That may not mean complete
transcendence of violence, but it will, I think, require tempering tribal
warfare instincts with something new. After all, if the US can tolerate drugging
a large segment of its children with Ritalin, then it ought to tolerate using
(much more) robotics in war.
