What Emlyn meant to say was: Put your data into Access, and then access
Access from Excel. Which has always been doable, and each successive
release makes easier. If you outgrow Access, move the data to SQL Server,
Oracle, or MySQL.

Also, be aware of what you can do with SAS, Darwin, or Mathematica.

IOW, have a rich toolbox. Store your data in a database. Analyze your
data with an analysis tool.
