        i'm not sure what exactly he envisions, but i can see something
much more radical in the same vein -- borganism. knowing taken to the
limit approaches becoming. evolved organisms don't always cooperate
because evolution has little foresight; my intuition is that cooperation
is almost always more efficient than competition -- provided, of course,
the cooperation is perfect -- SIs have the power to achieve this perfect
cooperation ... but isn't that just unification? the singularity may well
lead to the singleton.
