A friend contacted me off-list and mentioned some unsavory things about
NLP. Since this was a person whose opinion I respect, I did a web search
on NLP, and all the web sites I found did indeed come across as
con-artist scams.
So I think I must amend my earlier statement about NLP and say that I
find the concepts to be valuable tools, and the techniques work for me;
but they may not work for everyone. As to the wild claims I saw on some
of the web sites that with NLP you'll find true love, riches, and
everlasting youth or whatever--that's not at all the impression I got of
what NLP was about. I think there's some improvisation going on.
