And Rockefellers, and Vanderbilts, etc. Kennedys are political
bluebloods (which doesn't take long to do), but definitely are 'johnny
come latelys' to the big money scene, and are considered little more
than legitimized mobsters by old money families (old Joe made his bucks
rumrunning during Prohibition, while his father-in-law, 'Honey Fitz'
Fitzgerald (Rose Kennedy's dad), was a famously corrupt Boston Mayor).
