The shortage is not crude oil, its refinery capacity. The greens and
open spacers keep finding clever ways to legaaly block expansion of capacity.
This in addition to the multibillion dollar lawsuits against those refineries
which suffer the occasional accident or release of pollutant.
When I hear news media bleating about how the techno-advanced
devour a disproportionate share of natural resources, I would
reassure them that they need not worry, for we are well on our
way to legislating ourselves into a neo-stone age. spike
