Yes, I know I'm in a minority camp on some of these issues.
We'll see who turns out to be right as we learn more about
consciousness and watch the future unfold.

I still stand by my position that, just like dancing in the
heavens proves to people that the world is not flat, Once we discover
what consciousness is, and with such knowledge start engineering ways
to eff, experience/discover quale never before experienced by the
human brain, expand, merge, and grow our consciousness... it will
undeniably prove what consciousness is, what it is not, who has it,
what doesn't, and so on and so forth.

Of course in our current primitive unable to eff state, many
will remain unconvinced for a long time, despite the obvious, just as
many held to a geocentric view for a long time, despite telescopes....
But, we will not always be earth bound, and we will not always be
unable to eff our sensations and share our consciousness with others.
