A lot of the "true love" stuff is culturally induced as well. When a person
believes that they must find a one-and-only soul mate, they will usually
manage to meet a person who presents possibilities for being molded into the
role. If the object of true-love should turn out not to be malleable enough,
you end up with the stuff of country music ballads and soap operas.
