The problem I have with this is the level of knowledge
necessary. A basic principle to keep in mind is:

    The capacity for knowledge of a society is a function of
it's diversity; the greater the level of basic knowledge I
need to make my way through a society, the less useful I am
to it.

If you can convince me that your lifestyle doesn't require
much more knowledge than wondering a supermarket, I'll be
sold. I *do* think we'll eventually go down this route;
things tend to go through three stages:

    1. You take care of them
    2. You pay someone else to take care of them
    3. They take care of themselves

As far as food goes we're at stage 2, but I think biotech
will bring us up to stage 3 in time.

Can I grow my own food, build my own shelter, look for work,
and (re)educate myself all at the same time? I'm doubtful.
