As I remarked during a previous episode on this list, one of the
problems with email is that you lack the methods for group disapproval
that operate in physical tribes. In a physical tribe, you don't need to
interrupt the speaker. You can give disapproving looks. You can
snort. You can wander away and listen to someone else. Email lists
don't have mechanisms for negative feedback, especially when people are
too polite to chime in. Arguments can continue indefinitely because
there's no group mechanism for indicating who won and who lost.
By way of solving this problem:
Brian Manning Delaney is an idiot. In fact, an insulting and
condescending idiot.
Max More and Natasha Vita-More have won the argument.
This concludes my feedback on the issue. I encourage other Extropians
to do likewise, so that it is clear to all who has won the argument, and
we can move on.
