The real question is how much do they *need* to do? We need to
ask ourselves, what would the human actual do on Mars? Answer:
she would be there to make decisions, guide semi-autonomous
robotic building machines, etc. No hoisting, no carrying, no going
outdoors. The weight penalties for that kinda stuff is too great.
She would get advice from home, but she would actually be there to
take care of the time delay of up to 15 minutes. I see a situation
whereby the astronaut would be in a life-or-death race to build a
workable underground farm from which to produce enough food to
support her and her soon to be conceived babe. spike
