It appears as if something identifying itself as using the identity string

What makes the identity string /Michael S. Lorrey/ more ``real'' than
the identity string /retroman@turbont.net/,
according to your belief system?
You seem to not appreciate that other entities can have other belief systems,
and that your evaluation of ``real'' in these belief systems simply appears
flawed or outright meaningless.
Who are you to declare your belief system the ultimate answer?
I say: let those who wish to have their openness have it, if they so wish,
and let those who wish to have their privacy have it, if they so wish.
Thus ended today's sermon.
