Well, in short, yes. The US probably is one of the least oppressive
governments on Earth, behind only some small islands like the Caymans
and Turks & Caicos, which are freer but don't have the economy to
really exercise it. Other than that, every nation on Earth is pretty
tyrannical in one way or another. There is no free country.
But just because the US is better than most, that's no excuse for
its crimes, and no excuse for supporting them.

Any mind capable of seeing that as a "problem" is pretty sick.
