Fat is stored in cells, and released when needed, right? Logically there
is a biochemical situation which signals that need.

Doesn't it seem logical that the fat so released is, at least temporarily,
in the bloodstream?

If this process was understood more precisely, might it not be possible to

(1) artificially signal the fat cells to release the fat, then
(2) divert the blood to a circuit outside the body, where the fat could be
separated (perhaps by centrifuge) and removed?

Currently, in our culture, weight control is a difficult and more often
than not losing battle. With serious consequences organically,
psychologically, financially, and aesthetically. Routine, substantial
control of the fat content of our bodies would likely make folks a good
deal healthier and happier, not to mention more pleasant to look at.
