Are we reaching critical mass?

I was just checking out Google's new web directory search engine. I
decided to do a search for "The Spike", to see if I could find an
alternative source for the book, other than Amazon UK. Much to my
surprise, I found that Google has set aside categories for transhuman and
extropic topics! Thus, one can look up:

Society > Philosophy > Current Movements > Transhumanism

And get a whole list of links, including:

Categories:
  Altruistic (2) Ethics (2) Singularity (13)
  Art (2) Neurohacking (2) Transhumanists (6)
  Criticisms of Transhumanism (1)

Related Categories:
  Computers > Artificial_Intelligence (700)
  Health > Life_Extension (194)
  Science > Biology > Cryobiology > Cryonics (80)
  Science > Technology > Nanotechnology (34)
  Society > Future (77)
Society > Issues > Science and Technology > Biotechnology (123)
Society > Religion and Spirituality > Faiths and Beliefs > Humanism (55)

I take this as a sign that extropian memes, if not yet taking hold, are at
least getting noticed.
