Ja but except for the stuff in equatorial orbit, this trick doesnt
really work. I read that in Songs of Distant Earth, and thought
that first vibration mode trick was great, but then I realized that
it would just as easily put the cable in harms way as out of it.
Of course if a low orbiter is *in* an equatorial orbit, then the
vibration is required.
Ive another plan: the center of mass of the cable is in a 5 degree
inclined orbit, then it oscillates back and forth without the difficulties
involved in a first vibration mode. spike
