So lets say I'm a spammer that wants to pollute the medium just because its free.
here's what I do:
a) I post my infollution (hey I just coined a new word!) to 'FreeNet'.
b) I have a bot that requests that information on a regular basis.
c) I use this information in concert with email, usenet, ICQ and other spam messages
(links in the push spam messages to the FreeNet infollution) to use freenet as a
means of storing lots of information for my business for free (to me).
d) As freenet gets clogged up by jackasses like me taking up all of the 'free' space
with our infollution, more and more freenet participants get sick of giving a free
ride to freeloaders, and start charging or demanding advertising space. Voila - no
more FreeNet.
There truly is no such thing as a free lunch.
