There is plenty for FDA's/mainstream conservativism murdering (well,
letting them die unnecessarily) people even now. It's not an isolated
occurence, either. Bureaucracies can ignore astonishing amounts of
evidence...

Ah, but we're talking about therapy now. Besides, there are countries
(India, for instance) which don't care a fig about what FDA says (and,
even more importantly, don't have a local equivalent). In many
aspects, the torch has been passed on to other countries, already.
