Well, I asked myself what I'd write if I was writing about the
Singularity in a newsstand outlet. Vinge? Check. Moravec? Of course.
(Maybe a word about Robert Bradbury's MB's -- which are a truly mind-
blowing concept because it seems like a logical convergence between
Moore's law, nanotechnology, and the tendency of life forms to
expand to fill any available niche.) But I believe the whole thing
would turn out fairly similar in some ways; there are, after all,
only so many citable sources.
