Daniel a lot of Nanomedicine is over my head too, but I have had
a ball with the parts of it I do understand. {8-] Specifically, nanotech
represents a return of classical mechanical engineering, a topic that
we MEs study in school, but then seldom or never get to actually
use in the real world: calculating required sizes of machine parts,
strengths of bonds or joints, beam stiffnesses and mechanical
properties, etc. These tasks often get pushed down to subcontractors
who make specialized subsystems in which the actual mechanical
engineering was coded into software before most of us were
born. {8-[ Or worse yet, they are performed by *finite element
analysis* [ewwwww, how ugly.]
