first of all, i admit that i do not really believe anything will
come out of this discussion ... *mental masturbation alert*.
"god" is only a word. what are we really talking about here? does
"god" have any characterizations besides existence? my experience is that
when most people speak of "god," they mean not only something powerful,
but perhaps more importantly, also something _benevolent_and_sympathetic_
... is that what we are implicitly talking about here? until we have
a concensus on _what_ "god" is, it is meaningless to ask whether "god"
exists.
