This is true, but largely (and I know this from growing up in a
neighborhood where probably 90% of the girls were pregnant by 16) it has to
do with not using birth control in the first place. Granted they're
children, so they don't think ahead, but I think my point still holds.

The best birth control methods are not 100% reliable. Accidents happen.
