"The Outlaw Josey Wales" is a phenomenal movie and has a wonderfully
clear-eyed vision of war, government, and heroics. Naturally it is,
in a deep sense, highly libertarian. The scene of Wales's
confrontation with the Indian warrior is one of my favorite moments in
any movie ever. Some of Clint Eastwood's movies, at moments, rise to
the level of poetry in their honesty. I enjoy them for the meaning
they communicate without words, or with few words.
