Think of the universe as a giant bubble expanding at an accelerating rate. Some
very clever people work day and night to create a super computer with enough
intelligence to refine such thoughts, and to test their accuracy. Others work
just as hard to build machines that can accurately predict future stock market
trends. The market, in turn, determines how the Internet global brain evolves.
To the degree the GB performs in accordance with the requirements of users, the
GB receives support and further investment from users. Market forces and
economic reality will, IMO, guide (control, pressure, channel) the evolution of
the GB via feedback from those who find it beneficial, or not.
