I believe that in rural/mountianous parts of southern Russia, Armenia,
Turkey, etc. that life still moves at a very slow pace and one could
find such individuals. Their longevity however may be limited to
one or two more generations due to the relentless march of technology
such as satellite TV and cell phones.
The interesting thing is that the flood legend has to go back much
further than the Gurdjieff ashokhs or Babylonian tablets. I believe
the dates of the flood of the Black Sea by the Mediterranean put
it at something like 12000-15000 years ago.
