This documents covers the process to install and run Magic Draw, the ARROW Magic Draw Plug-in, and the example reference architecture Magic Draw model. 1. Download Magic Draw Magic Draw is commercially licensed software developed by No Magic. The software can be downloaded from their web site, at https://www.magicdraw.com/. You must create an account and provide an email address. Download Magic Draw version 17.0 or later, Enterprise edition, and follow the installation instructions. You'll also need to download the Magic Draw SysML plugin from https://www.magicdraw.com/download/sysml and follow the installation instructions. 2. Obtain a Magic Draw license When you download Magic Draw, you will be sent a limited demo license. The license is for a limited time and has limits to the size of the model (number of model elements) that can be saved. You may also contact Magic Draw for an extended evaluation license without the model size limitations. 3. Install the ARROW Plug-in The ARROW plug-in for Magic Draw is provided as a zip file. Simply extract the contents of the zip file into /plugins. The plug-in will be recognized and initialized the next time Magic Draw starts up. 4. Load the IFV Reference architecture The Ground Vehicle Reference Architecture and example ground vehicle SysML design are stored within the IFV.mdzip file. This file depends on two SysML profile files, META Project Profile.mdzip and ARRoW Profile.mdzip. Magic Draw may ask you to locate these files if they are not in the same directory as IFV.mdzip. 5.
