5th Edition of "Microbiology" by Prescott Harley Klien is a good text.
Keep in mind that reading technical litrature is alot differant from
other formats, it tends to alot "dryer" but you have the added excitment
of gaining a wealth of knowledge.
Dont forget to read the summary and answer the questions in each
chapter. Its a good way of seeing how much information you have retained.
