antiHSV-1 Antibodies

dear science-folks,
could any of you advise me on which anti HSV-1 antibodies (both monoclonal or polyclonal, preferably commercially FITC labeled) have worked well for you to detect HSV-1 in mouse tissue cryo-sections? what protocol did you use? since replication is at low level i have problems detecting HSV with the Abs that i currently use.
it would be of immense help to me if, all be it just one of you, could give me the "magic" advise!
