STRANGE ATTRACTORS

     All species are subject to cycles of sustained growth
and sudden calamity.  It is a rhythm as old as life itself
and an integral part of the evolutionary process.

     The classical symtoms of a species in crisis include:
       a.  Increased aggression
       b.  Sexual dysfunction
       c.  And disease.

DYNAMICS

     The AIDS epidemic continues to decimate young sexually
active people worldwide.

     The disproportionally large sector of the population
known as "baby boomers" is rapidly approaching the unpleasant
end of the demographic python.

VARIABLES

     Is the AIDS virus increasing or decreasing its spread
into the human population?

     How many people who contract AIDS get well?
