Seconded - and in any case, ALL of the "HIV doesn't cause AIDS
proponents are so obsessed with the N American epidemic (and maybe
the European, if they can see that far) - which, of course, is
largely limited to gays and IV drug abusers - that they totally
ignore the African and Asian epidemics. Where the people affected
are overwhelmingly heterosexuals, where amyl nitrate has never been
heard of, and no one other factor than HIV could possibly be said to
be common among them. So the theory (hypothesis?) is mildly
interesting, but mostly as something that can be refuted without
trying too hard.
