I'm not particularly knowledgeable about it - no more than many
virologists. I'm certainly not a specialist in it.

Point your web browser at the WHO dengue page:
<http://www.who.ch/programmes/ctd/act/dengact.htm>
or at the virology servers I mentioned in my earlier post.
Dengue has been moving north from its more 'traditional' homes recently.
It's reached the Southern USA; as to whether there's an 'outbreak' depends
on your threshold for 'outbreak,' as to my knowledge there have been no
real epidemics. I don't know how many cases (if any) there have been in
Arizona; it wouldn't surprise me to know it had reached there.

I know I've seen the odd comment about the spread of Dengue, buried in
the back of some newspapers. You have to have a high alert factor for the
word 'virus,' though. I don't recall seeing mention of it in Arizona;
I'm sure someone here can comment on that.
At worst, though, it is still extremely rare in that region. I wouldn't
worry about it.
