Hi there,

As far as I know, there are no (recently in CCOD/BA archives) papers about
how BSE is transmitted. All the transmition-paths are only speculated. So
does anybody out here know if it can only be transmitted orally
or maybe also by contact of body-fluids (blood, saliva, sperm, urine)
and/or feaces?

Another question that arises is: If there has never been a succesfull
immunereaction, are there some (monoclonal)antibodies (or any other test I
didn't think of) against BSE? Otherwise I guess there can be no good test
for BSE, except taking all cows in quarantain for some years and screen
for symptoms of the mad-cow-disease..
