Viral DNA insertion into host genome.

It's my understanding that while the site of AAV integration is in a cDNA 
(one of Ventner's ESTs, I believe) I do not think its function is known.  
I certainly have not heard anything with respect to a correlation between 
B19 integration and Alzheimers, and I suspect if there were data to 
suggest this there would be somewhat less interest in using AAV as a 
vector.. very few people want a genetic treatment if it's going to cause 
Alzheimers! :-)
