SYMPOSIUM QUALITY AND SAFETY OF PLASMA PRODUCTS

The European Plasma Fractionation Association (EPFA) and The European Association of the Plasma Product Industry (EAPPI) and the
are pleased to present the: 2nd Annual European Regulatory Affairs Symposium
"Quality and Safety of Plasma Products" (http://www.cyber.nl/epfa/
The Symposium (Brussels 19 october 1995) is intended to bring together the private
and public sectors of the Plasma Products Industry, the European Union and
Member State government officials to participate in presentations and
discussions on a range of public policy and regulatory topics related to plasma for further
manufacture, and the quality and safety of plasma products. Specifically, the Symposium
will address:
1) Benefits of a structured dialogue between the regulatory authorities
and manufacturers of plasma products;
2) Regulatory developments related to source material issues;
3) Plasma products and manufacturing issues including
viral safety and pre- and post-licensing issues;
The EAPPI represents twelve of the largest commercial
manufacturers of plasma products in Europe. EPFA represents the
not-for-profit manufacturers of plasma products in Europe and abroad.
The Symposium will provide an overview of the regulatory
framework for many critical aspects of the collection of blood and plasma
and the manufacture, regulation, control and oversight of plasma
products.
