hi!
Exogenous simian retroviruses are frequently isolated in macaque monkey . We
found that some healthy wild caught monkeys (Macaca sylvana) -a Moroccan
subspecies- crossreact with some proteins of SIV on a Western blot. Two females
had complete profile, and one male had an indeterminate profile. The male and
one of the females had also a low CD4 count (absolute value below 500 CD4/mm3).
I'am asking for advice on how to carry on investigation.
