For those interested in breaking news on chronic illness research,
ChronicIllnet (http://www.calypte.com) has dedicated a full-time
reporter and a series of guest reporters to cover new therapeutics,
diagnostics and research studies in addition to writing profiles and
interesting pieces on specific lines of scientific inquiry.
ChronicIllnet's "Online News" mission is to cover promising
scientific developments not always reported by mainstream media and
in many cases, to challenge conventional scientific thinking. For
example, one recent article examines a new finding overlooked by much
of the media -- the link between AZT and birth defects. TJ Moriarty,
a reporter who has filed stories for CNN and San Francisco's KGO-TV,
is the first reporter for ChronicIllnet, which was designated a cool
site by Yahoo and one of the top medical sites by Discover.
