I'm no expert on viruses but here are a few really good books. "The Hot
Zone", by Richard Preston and "The Comong Plague", by Laurie Garret. The
former is an excellent book on a recent outbreak of Ebola and of how it
could have spread across the United States (true story I might add). It
contains a lot of information on the virus in it, the nice thing about it
is that one does not need any advanced education in virology to understand
it. I highly recommend it, once you pick it up you won't put it down. The
latter is a book on emerging diseases in the world today and it has a
section on Ebola.
There is always somthing small that is too big for us.
