Papillomas have preference for various parts of the body--laryngeal
papillomas are very rare and occur usually in children or young adults.
Lesions arise on the larynx and spread through out the air passage and
respiratory tract. Laser therapy on the lesions is in current use
(interferon alpha or beta injected into the lesions as a form of
treatment is under dispute currently). Malignancies have arisen from
laryngeal papillomas but usually due to treating children, in the past,
with irradiation.
Hope this helps.
