A call to virologists:
The Xth International Congress of Virology will be held from August 11th - 16th,
1996 in the historial city of Jerusalem. The International Congress is the most
prestigious event in the virological calendar and the organisers intend to make the
Jerusalem meeting at least as successful as previous meetings. As before, the
format will be based around morning plenary sessions with workshops plus poster
sessions in the afternoons and round table discussions in the evenings.
There will be an attractive social programme and plenty of options for pre and post
congress tours to the many historical sites in Israel.
Full information on the Congress in the form of a Second Announcement booklet with
registration and abstracts forms is available from Kenes, P.O. Box 50006, Tel-Aviv
61500, Israel, Tel: 972 3 514 0000, Fax: 972 3 517 5674 or 972 3 514 0077, E.mail:

E-mail message for information regarding attendance).

WORKSHOPS/POSTERS
Unlike previous congresses, the vast majority of the 64 workshops/poster sessions
are
based on cross-cutting topics rather than taxonomic groupings. The organisers hope
that most delegates will be able to find an appropriate session for their submitted
abstracts.
Oral presentations will be selected by the chairmen from abstracts submitted to
their
particular workshop/poster session.
