What happened to virology?

I first read this newsgroup a couple months ago. I thought it was great. 
I think what happened here was that as many students/proffesors became 
swamped with the end of semester workload,  relevant postings dwindled 
and ebola publicity overloaded it with debris. 
Hopefully the water will clear up again and everyone will have time to 
post.
I am too lazy to dig through the debris for a couple articles.
