Experiment to see if this cures Ebola?

(a) Since Ebola Zaire's action starts with clotting, why
not try anticoagulants as a supportive treatment?
(b) Since it is a virus, and a known anti-viral agent for
non-related viruses _might_ work on a family other than
what it normally works on, why not experiment with
terramycin (has been used against psittacosis and viral
pneumonia) and chloromycetin (ditto), both of which have
potential severe side effects, but these people are likely
to die anyway, and this might save them. If it doesn't
interfere with the viruses at least it might clear up any
low level chronic infections that would weaken them against
the ebola infections.
Some medicinal plants such as goldenseal and echinacea
augustifolia have been shown to have ability to inhibit
viral growth in vitro. Huge doses of these and local
African plants with any reputation for dealing with viral
type infections could be experimented with.
