Yes, specifically if anyone has localized viral genome within
particular regions of the spleen and lymph node via in situ
hybridization or in situ PCR I am aware of the HIV, SIV, MCMV and
LDHV work, but as of yet, not many other intracellular organisms.
I am also interested in the selective migration of
immune cells into the different immune compartments. Does the
architecture of the spleen or LN change during infections which is
not characteristic of a normal antigenic response??? What is
migration pattern of monocytes (and other APCs), T-cells, NK-cells
and B-cells into and out of the splenic follicle and LN in an
infected animal? Is there work to suggest differential migration
(infected vs. uninfected), and if so is this change associated with
functional alterations???
Thanks,
Dan Anderson
